November Amherst Racial Equity Organizers Monthly Gathering

The Racial Equity Monthly Meetings are designed to help individuals committed to Racial Justice and Equity collectively develop a deeper understanding of and address racism in their personal lives, organizations and community. The meetings also provide networking opportunities and support local organizing efforts.

We believe that in order to build an anti-racist community working toward RACIAL EQUITY, we must:

  • Come together in building an antiracist community using antiracist principles put forth by the Undoing Racism Training by The People's Institute for Survival & Beyond. (www.pisab.org
  • Develop a common understanding of local community problems

  • Understanding that individuals are at different stages of development in their anti-racism work

  • Collectively develop organizing goals and action plans based on the local community’s problems, needs & data driven outcomes.
